About The Role

As an ERAS clinic nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating and completing ERAS Clinic appointments, assisting patients with surgery preparation, and managing pre-operative and post-operative consultations. The role reports directly to the Nurse Unit Manager of 5 North and will see you act as an ERAS champion, ensuring smooth clinic operations and optimal patient outcomes.

A Regular Day Will See You

  • Coordinate and facilitate the efficient operation of the ERAS Clinic.
  • Conduct patient consultations, including assessments, screening, and clinical education.
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care according to best practice.
  • Communicate with patients regarding their surgical procedures and provide ongoing support.
  • Utilise the Women’s electronic medical record (EMR) system as required.
  • Schedule and manage future ERAS Clinic appointments.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • AHPRA Registration as a Division 1 Nurse.
  • A minimum of 2 years of acute nursing experience, with a strong interest in Gynaecology.
  • Proficiency in EMR, iPM, and Microsoft Office.
