Description:
- Accurately process payroll data and ensure timely payments
- Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports
- Administer leave applications and maintain leave records
- Manage superannuation and tax deductions
- Handle any payroll queries and resolve issues promptly
- Stay up-to-date with current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws
- Work closely with the Accounting and Finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function
Requirements:
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in construction based software such as JobPac and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to handle payroll queries
- A solid understanding of payroll tax and superannuation
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
