This is an excellent opportunity to make your mark and launch your hospitality career.
You will be joining Australia’s largest specialist centre for foods, tourism, hospitality and events education and training located in the CBD and conveniently close to public transport. We are on the lookout for a passionate, committed, friendly team player to join the team and assist in providing outstanding food and beverage customer service to internal and external clients as well as preparing and maintaining the dish and food display.
Please note some heavy lifting will be involved and weekend and/or work outside normal hours may be required.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with all food and beverage preparation.
- Prepare and display high standard, nutritious and varied dishes.
- Serve food and beverage, operate cash registers, food preparation, drink stocking, cleaning tables/chairs/benches, filling refrigerators, emptying garbage and generally maintaining a high level of hygiene and presentation.
- Make and serve coffee.
- Prepare the banking daily, order supplies and liaise and collaborate with other business units.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience with food preparation and food handling in a café kitchen environment and advanced Espresso/Advanced Coffee Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Food Safety Health, Standards and Procedures and a current Food Handlers Certificate.
- Ability to work within a team environment and as well as independently.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality client service in a catering environment is essential.
- Demonstrated awareness and knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
- Demonstrated behaviours that align with the William Angliss Institute Values.
