Description:
The Corporate Accountant is responsible for the following:
- Perform key month end accounting tasks including preparation and posting of month end journals, and month end reports
- Preparation of weekly bank account reconciliations and ensure transactions are allocated appropriately
- Monthly corporate general ledger account reconciliations preparation
- Manage the fixed asset function for Corporate cost centres
- Maintain AASB 16 Lease accounting entries for ANZ
- Preparation of the monthly BAS
- Partner with Corporate cost centres including monthly review of actuals against budget, assisting in the creation of purchase orders and receipting invoices for payments, and providing advice and analysis where required
- Liaise with Business Groups, Corporate, External Audit and Internal Audit as required
- Assist in Year End and Half Year End statutory reporting requirements
- Update Corporate Accounting Procedures
- Continuous improvement of Corporate Accounting processes
- Ongoing collaboration with the wider finance team
Requirements:
A successful Corporate Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional certification (CA/CPA)
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
- Ideal big-4 or mid-tier audit or business services background
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
