Key Responsibilities
Media & Container Preparation:
Prepare growing media and select suitable trays, pots, and containers for various crops.
Crop Propagation & Maintenance
Undertake propagation, planting, and pruning operations to ensure optimal plant growth.
Prepare and apply pesticides and weedicides to maintain crop health.
Irrigation & Crop Treatment
Manage irrigation, fertigation, and fumigation activities effectively.
Maintain accurate records of soil conditions, hydroponic systems, plant treatments, and crop yields.
Logistics & Operations
Coordinate transport and logistics for the delivery of sales stock.
Operate horticultural machinery and equipment to clear and cultivate land, sow and harvest crops, and process and pack produce.
Ensure regular maintenance and safe operation of all relevant equipment and machinery.
Requirements
Australian citizens or permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant qualification) is required.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in horticulture or a related field is essential.
Demonstrated knowledge of agricultural practices including crop management, irrigation systems, and pesticide/weedicide application.
Ability to maintain detailed records and manage logistics efficiently.
