About the Role


As the Risk, Fraud and Compliance Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the NLC meets its legislative and contractual obligations while fostering a robust risk management framework.


This role is responsible for implementing and administering the NLC Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring compliance, and strengthening the organization's risk culture. You will provide expertise across risk, fraud / corruption management, business continuity planning, and governance to enhance our processes and reduce residual risk.


What You Will Bring


The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legalisation, standards and internal policies. Previous experience in identifying, monitoring and mitigating risk or fraud/corruption and knowledge of conflict of interest management. Previous experience maintaining thorough documentation of project activities, risk or fraud / corruption assessments, and compliance reviews. Ability to assess risks and/or identify fraud / corruption patterns. Good attention to detail to spot inconsistencies or red flags. Knowledge of regulations and familiarity with interpreting relevant laws, standards and industry practices.


You will also have



  • Relevant tertiary level qualifications at a minimum Advanced Diploma level in Commerce, Law or Business or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years working in a similar or related role.
  • Experience undertaking data analysis, identifying trends and developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Advanced research skills and an ability and willingness to undertake professional investigations.

We offer



  • A salary package of $98,720 per annum plus 14.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
  • Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:

    • District allowance of up to $4,797 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,630 without dependents.
    • 5 weeks annual leave , leaving loading, 18 days personal leave;
    • Paid Christmas close down ;
    • Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $2,961
