The Opportunity
Our Lysaght business is looking for Operations Technicians to join the Production Team based in Townsville . Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.
Based in Townsville , our Technicians are at the heart of our operations, playing a key role in creating innovative solutions for our customers. Based in Townsville, you’ll work with cutting-edge machinery, ensuring the highest quality standards while prioritizing safety—for both yourself and the team.
Shifts
This role involves working on a rotating roster across Day and Afternoon Shift:
- Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm (Mon-Thu), 6:00am – 12:00pm (Fri)
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm (Mon-Thu), 2:00pm – 6:00pm (Fri)

What Will You Do?
Role
In this dynamic role, no two days are the same! You’ll be making a direct impact on the safety and quality of our products. Your tasks will include:
- Operating forklifts, gantry cranes, and processing machinery.
- Safely preloading and unloading products to and from trucks.
- Packing and strapping steel products on-site to meet specific customer orders.
- Supporting the team with various general tasks as needed.

- Experience in a similar operating environment.
- A willingness to undertake forklift training and earn the relevant license.
