The CompanyOur client are leading FMCG business, based in Geelong who are positioned to bring in a Distribution Team Lead overseeing a small team on a contract basis. This role will be focused on managing workflow ensuring that operations are completed in an efficient and effective manner.
The Role
Reporting to the Line Manager this role will be focused on:
- Overseeing the efficient storage, handling, and movement of products, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Managing workflow, resource allocation, and staff productivity to maintain seamless daily operations.
- Implementing and maintaining traffic management strategies to prevent incidents and product damage.
- Leading and training team members, ensuring they follow operational procedures, scanning technology, and equipment use.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives by refining processes, SOPs, and lean operational strategies
- 1 - 2 year’s experience in a similar role.
- Experience working in similar operations focused roles.
- Must have clear and open communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and great organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be adaptable.
