About the role:
- Identify and secure opportunities for apprentices, trainees, cadets, First Nations people, and Priority Jobseekers for direct hire, ensuring subcontractor compliance.
- Establish and manage relationships with local jobseekers in collaboration with our client to promote workforce development and support project goals.
- Monitor progress and drive outcomes against key targets like Priority Jobseekers, Major Project Skills Guarantee, Aboriginal Employment Target, and Building Equality Policy, implementing measures for underperformance or non-compliance.
- Coordinate and support training, ensuring smooth transitions from pre-employment training to employment while promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Facilitate key relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including supporting educational community programs and workforce development initiatives.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education/Training, or related area preferred.
- Understanding of Registered Training Organisation requirements.
- Experience in a similar role within Civil Engineering or Construction preferred.
- Demonstrated experience developing networks with job networks and community groups and managing client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
