About the role
Our high-profile Employment & Industrial practice is recognised as a market leader and has represented trade unions and individuals in landmark cases. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal (12-month fixed term contract) to join our Employment and Industrial Law team in our Melbourne office on a full-time or part-time basis. This is an opportunity to contribute to impactful work in a dynamic and meaningful way.
The experience we are looking for
You bring a passion for justice, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You'll have experience conducting legal research, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients. If you thrive in a team environment and are committed to making a difference, this role could be a great fit.
- Excellent organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively
- A strong academic background and/or experience in conducting complex legal research and writing
- An understanding of our client base and the capacity to demonstrate empathy and compassion
- Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Excel, updating databases, and/or manipulating data is advantageous
- Capability to prioritise tasks, adapt to a rapidly evolving environment, and demonstrate outstanding organisational skills
- A genuine passion for law and an eagerness to contribute within a collaborative work setting
