Description:
About Unison
Unison is a for-purpose organisation that works to reduce disadvantage and social exclusion for over 3,500 people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness each year. We believe that housing is the foundation on which to build a life of value but that a good life takes more than just housing - a good life takes place in a community. We’re also committed to building a thriving community internally for the people that work with us. We’re proud to offer contemporary people programs and benefits in line with our values, and we’re certified as a Great Place to Work.
About the role
The Place Manager Support Officer acts as the first point of contact for visitors and enquiries to Unison’s Footscray office. The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth administrative function of the office, and that all enquiries in person, over the phone and via the email inbox are responded to in a warm and prompt manner.
Working closely with the Place Management tenancy and allocations team, you will also support the allocation of Unison properties through tasks such as responding to rental enquiries and finding potential Unison renters through the Victorian Housing Register to ensure our properties are allocated quickly and renters are sustaining their tenancy.
About you
If you are a positive, friendly person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with varied work then you will thrive in this role. You may have a background in reception, administration, or customer service and are looking for your next challenge or an opportunity to do more meaningful, impactful work.
You’ll be organized, efficient and confident in communicating with people who may display complex or challenging behaviour, with a background in the housing sector.
On Offer
In return, you’ll have access to rostered days off, salary packaging of up to $15,900 tax-free, five weeks of annual leave with 17.5% leave loading, 15 days of personal leave, employer paid parental leave and robust wellbeing and capability programs as part of Unison’s commitment to being a leading employer of choice.
This is an ongoing full-time position based at our Footscray office under SCHADS Level 3 with a salary of approximately $73,000 per annum (plus super and leave loading).
