Position Overview:
We are seeking an Experienced Support Worker/personal care assistant to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of those we support. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate, empathetic and has a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including mobility support, personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in social and community activities, encouraging their participation and promoting independence.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional support, as required.
- Implement and monitor care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being through therapeutic activities.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients at all times.
- Record and report client progress and concerns in a professional manner.
- Administer medication as per client requirements and according to prescribed guidelines.
- Assist with household tasks, such as cleaning and organizing, to promote a healthy living environment.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful relationship with clients, their families, and the broader care team.
Key Requirements:
.Years of experience in disability support or similar caregiving roles.
- Cert III or IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong understanding of disability rights, and experience working with individuals with a range of disabilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle preferred.

Pay: From $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 24 per week
