The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is currently seeking to appoint an experienced ICT Project Manager to manage and implement Data and Systems projects/program. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with exposure across large scale projects with the support of a dedicated team.
The ICT team supports the diverse Data, Digital and ICT needs across DCCEEW. This includes ICT Service Delivery, enabling capability in strategic planning, cyber security, governance and Artificial Intelligence, and in the development, support and delivery of programs of work.
About the role
The ICT Project Manager will lead the delivery of projects within the Data and Systems program. You will manage multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic goals. This involves coordinating resources, managing risks, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors like the DPHI Digital and Information Office (DIO). You will oversee the planning and implementation phases, ensuring business requirements are met and strong communication is maintained across all stakeholders to ensure project success.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have strong experience managing large ICT projects in a complex organisation, with a focus on planning, coordination, and stakeholder management. You are skilled at working with external vendors and business stakeholders, translating requirements into actionable plans and can navigate complex priorities. You bring strong expertise in project management methodologies either in PRINCE2 or Agile or Hybrid type tools like SharePoint and MS Project. You thrive in dynamic environments and are able to manage competing priorities to ensure successful project delivery.
