Empire Hospitality is busy hospitality business with over 1600 dedicated Associates, and we have been established for over 21 years . We are seeking to hire a professional HR Coordinator based at our Darling Harbour offices. We are a busy recruitment and HR department that provides support to several large hotel sites across Australia,
The position is Monday to Friday and is permanent part time with full time on offer for the successful candidate.
Proven Australian HR experience and qualifications or working towards your HR qualification is essential
About the Role
The HR Coordinator will contribute to the efficient operation of the HR functions within the HR team under the guidance of the HR Manager.
The HR Coordinator will be responsible for undertaking HR administrative and HR duties on behalf of the HR Team, assisting in providing a range of services across Hisense such as recruitment, payroll, superannuation, OHS, and RTW, workplace relations, training and development; and workforce planning and culture.
Responsibilities
- Maintain electronic and hard copy of employee records and ensure all information related to workers is kept confidential
- Publish and remove job ads
- Schedule job interviews and contact candidates as needed
- Gather payroll and process payroll fortnightly
- Develop training and onboarding material
- Respond to HR enquiries
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes ensuring services meet professional and industry standards
- Work Health and Safety responsibilities as identified in organisational policies and procedures
- Participating in the implementation and continuous improvement of HR initiatives, processes, policies and procedures.
- Building relationships and working collaboratively with internal HR colleagues, leaders and employees;
- Undertake other general administration tasks as required by the HR Manager, e.g., Fixed assets management, company archive management, participating in organisation-wide, site based and team meetings, collaborative planning activities, etc.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualification in human resources, or undertaking currently
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in human resources.
- Excellent knowledge of various HR functions such as payroll & benefits, recruitment, onboarding, evaluation, training & development etc.
- Good understanding of labour laws
- Proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding organizational and time-management, analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin and interpersonal skills
- Tactful and discrete when dealing with people and confidential information
- Sorry Permanent Residency of Australia is required for this role.
