The Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving aggressive sales growth and expanding market penetration for low voltage products. This is a high-impact role suited to a hunter —someone with a relentless drive to win business, exceed sales targets, and dominate the market. You will take ownership of key customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and execute strategic sales initiatives to secure large-scale deals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an aggressive sales strategy to expand the company’s footprint in low voltage products
  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities with electrical contractors, consultants, distributors, and industrial clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, positioning the company as the supplier of choice
  • Own the full sales cycle—prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing high-value deals
  • Deliver solution-based selling, tailoring product offerings to meet customer needs and maximise value
  • Work closely with internal technical, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment with market demand
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge
  • Exceed sales targets and drive market share growth through strategic business development
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand presence
  • Provide detailed sales forecasts, pipeline management, and market intelligence to inform business strategy
Skills and Experience
  • Proven track record in business development and sales within the electrical or low voltage products sector
  • Hunter mentality with a relentless drive to acquire new business and close high-value deals
  • Strong network within commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, particularly with electrical contractors, consultants, and distributors
  • Highly skilled in solution-based selling, negotiation, and strategic account management
  • Ability to develop and execute high-impact sales strategies to dominate market segments
  • Strong technical understanding of low voltage products, electrical distribution, and automation solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
