Description:
The successful Application Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide Engineering consulting support to sales organisation to address customer's technical inquiries and investigating field installations as to product usage and performance.
- Address direct customer inquiries regarding the product features, benefits and applications. When appropriate, make joint calls with sales personnel to customer's facilities to address technical inquiries and seminars.
- Investigate product performance issues at field installations and with returned materials.
- Conduct training sessions with new employees to educate them on the features and benefits of our products and services.
- Serve as an internal resource on product issues, representing the customer's needs. Communicate with the global team (China, Australia, SEA, US) frequently and provide product performance feedback.
- Continually update personal knowledge of products, competitive products, and relevant markets.
- When requested, provide assistance in local product regulatory matters.
- Perform additional related projects as assigned by the Manager of Application Engineering.
Requirements:
A successful Application Engineer has the following requirements:
- A degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in the role.
- Strong understanding of the Piping industries, including mechanical aspects and regulations.
- Experience in mining, fire protection or HVAC system design/construction/operation is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, being able to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Good understanding of customer requirements and product development.
- Willingness to travel and work at different project sites - travel time is very limited and involve short trips.
