Description:
FHR alongside our client are seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to join their dynamic team and oversee the dispatch operations at their Northern Suburbs facility.
Job Overview
As the Dispatch Supervisor , you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the dispatch team, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of products to customers. You will oversee logistics, coordinate with production and sales teams, and ensure that all dispatch activities comply with safety and quality standards.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 6am - 2:40pm Monday - Thursday, 12:10pm finish Fridays
- Pay Rate: $42 - $45 per hour based on experience
Essential Criteria:
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance
- White Card
- C Class Driver's License
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the dispatch team to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics to plan and schedule deliveries.
- Ensure all outgoing products meet quality and safety standards.
- Monitor and optimize transport routes and schedules for cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, reports, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dispatch area.
- Train and develop dispatch staff to improve performance and productivity.
- Address and resolve any delivery or logistics-related issues promptly.
- Maintain strong relationships with transport providers and customers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar dispatch, logistics, or warehouse leadership role, preferably in steel manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of logistics software and dispatch management systems.
- A valid forklift license and knowledge of heavy goods transportation regulations (preferred).
