About the role
This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to make a positive change in the lives of People with a Disability.
- Experience in providing disability or mental health support.
- Prior experience working with individuals with psychosocial disabilities.
- Candidates who can engage in physical activities and support clients in achieving their physical and personal wellbeing goals.
Working in a team, you will facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with service users in a positive and proactive environment. You will be actively supporting their individual needs and creating a safe environment.
Travel will be required within the Spearwood area up 30 klms between clients, with a mileage allowance provided. The successful candidate will be able to work a 24/7 roster and Friday availability is essential.
Key Responsibilities
SIL: Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.
Lifestyles: Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes or the community, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required. May include personal care, meal preparation and transport.
Skills & Experience
- Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
- Certificate III Community Welfare, Disability or similar
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate
