Join a leading Australian manufacturer and wholesaler of a large range of high-volume engineered products sold into industries as diverse as Construction, Retail Hardware, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas. As the largest company in its field, it has the resources of a public company with the flexibility of a private one. This significant enterprise was established in 1965 and operates 10 distribution centres across Australia, New Zealand and Asia as well as two purpose-built manufacturing plants in Asia.
The Role:

• Oversee a large and diverse product portfolio where you will leverage market insights, customer trends, and product performance to optimise product offerings, enhance profitability, and improve customer satisfaction
  
• Support new product development projects from concept to launch through collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales
  
• Procurement & supplier management including sourcing, navigating global supply chains and negotiating with local and overseas manufacturers
  
• Responsible for the efficient management of inventory through enhancing operational efficiency, optimising product costs, and supply chain efficiency
  
• Quality assurance through managing supplier performance and addressing any performance issues
  
• International travel (2 or 3 times per annum) is required
  

About you:

• 7+ years of experience in a high-quality procurement, category management or supply chain planning environment ideally in hardware, construction, engineering, FMCG or a similar industry
  
• Degree qualifications in business, commerce or supply chain required
  
• Analytical mindset and data-driven, strong Microsoft Excel capability
  
• Diverse skill set with proven stakeholder and project management experience to coordinate complex projects across all levels of the organisation
  
• Able to work in Rosebery based offices - 5 days per week
