The Senior Finance business Partner – Home Claims will closely with Home Claims stakeholders and Finance & Accounting teams to drive financial and operational performance.
You will take charge of key activities such as month-end and year-end processes, budgeting, forecasting, and industry analysis. Share valuable insights with stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and help achieve business goals.
What you’ll do
- To provide management reporting, forecasting and budgeting services across Suncorp Group
- Collaborate with other CFO Insurance leaders, team members, offshore partners and stakeholders to deliver standardised reporting, integrated solutions and performance management insights
- Understand the information and analytical needs of key stakeholders
- Collaborate with relevant team members within CFO Insurance and leverage data resources to address the defined requirements
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to develop an in-depth understanding of business drivers and trends that supports management reporting
- Provide quality, relevant and insightful analysis on Expense and FTE financial performance, including allocation driver updates and review of expenses allocation outcome, for both actual and budget / forecast
- Provide a positive environment by modelling cultural expectations, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration and creativity.
What you’ll bring
- Business Degree - Mandatory
- Professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA), Certified Practising Accountants Australia (CPA) - Desired
- Minimum 8 years’ experience providing financial services across complex, multi-disciplinary businesses
- Strong general insurance knowledge
- Strong finance system knowledge (TM1 / Oracle) – desired
- Strong Excel Modelling skills working with large sets of data – PowerQuery, PowerBI – desired
- Proven ability to work effectively with large team of financial professionals
- Experience in analysis and executive reporting
- Proven track record in managing relationships based on mutual trust and respect
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- High attention to detail – Manage data to be accurate, timely and accessible
