QLeave is seeking a Senior Intelligence Officer, Contract Cleaning Industry Surveillance to join our newly established team in Brisbane’s North. About The Role
As Senior Intelligence Officer, you will work within the QLeave's Contract Cleaning Industry Surveillance team and will be undertaking surveillance and compliance activities to ensure employers are registered and levy payments are made as required by the Contract Cleaning Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 2005 . Reporting to the Manager Contract Cleaning Industry Surveillance, your focus will include:
- Intelligence gathering and analysis
- Complex data interpretation
- Research analysis
- Intelligence framework development and implementation
- Strategic intelligence guidance
In this role, you will:
- Use various tools to gather, analyse, record and interpret complex data related to relevant regulation and compliance.
- Research current issues, trends and risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various Queensland Government organisations to share intelligence and coordinate efforts.
- Assist in the development of an intelligence framework. Oversee the intelligence cycle (direction, collection, analysis and dissemination) of intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide strategic guidance based on intelligence findings to support the team's decision-making processes and long-term planning.
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing intelligence findings, trends and recommendations.
- Ensure all intelligence activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of intelligence tools and methodologies and implement improvements as necessary to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of intelligence operations.
- Work with the team to develop intelligence projects, including project ideation and design.
- Maintain your knowledge of the intelligence environment.

We Are Seeking a Dynamic Senior Intelligence Officer With
- experience in using databases and analysis tools to produce, analyse and identify intelligence data in accordance with Queensland legislation frameworks.
- ability in creating or being involved in the creation of an intelligence framework.
- fluency in the intelligence lifecycle, analytic techniques, open source intelligence.
- conduct exploratory data analysis skills (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and outliers.
Applicants must have a ‘C' class licence.
While Not Mandatory, The Following Will Be An Advantage
- Intelligence related qualifications or similar qualifications would be highly regarded.
- It is desirable to have previous intelligence experience in a regulatory environment.
- It is desirable to have previous experience in designing visually engaging dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and present key findings through concise reports and compelling visualisations.
