Bravehearts is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse. Our vision is to create a world where people, communities and systems all work together to protect children from sexual abuse. We have an opportunity available for an experienced Clinician to join our passionate and supportive team in a permanent full time capacity in our Logan office.

About the role:

  • Provide counselling support to children, young people, adults and their non-offending family members
  • Maintain a minimum case load of 20 clients each week for a full time clinician
  • Conduct assessments with clients throughout the therapeutic process including at the beginning and completion of therapy.
  • The role is classified at Level 5, pay point 1 Social and Community Service ($49.28 per hour) plus superannuation plus salary packaging

About you:

  • You will have a tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, counselling or a related field
  • You will also have 2 years experience in counselling and/or case management with ideally some experience in providing trauma counselling to children impacted by child sexual abuse
  • Among your top strengths are:- exceptional organisation skills, the ability to work self directed and a high attention to detail
  • You will be adaptable under pressure and bring with you a positive outlook particularly in the face of adversity,
  • You'll understand the importance of maintaining accurate case plans, treatment plans and other client information
