Senior Storeperson - Vaccine Warehouse Operations

Overview:

The Senior Store Person, Vaccine Warehouse Operations, is responsible for delivering efficient and prompt receiving, replenishment, picking, packing and dispatch functions at the SA Health Distribution Centre maintaining key supply chain activity within a cold storage environment.

The key outcomes for this role are:

• Efficient and effective management and handling of vaccine inventory across the receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch for the SA Vaccine Distribution Centre;
• Efficient receiving and dispatch operations ensuring compliance with SA Health vaccine distribution protocols and the National Strive for 5 cold chain guidelines , including:
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the receiving and stock replenishment; and
  • Ensuring accuracy in picking activities and the dispatch and delivery of vaccine orders to service providers.
• Assisting in the physical implementation of changes to ensure efficient and accurate supply chain operations are provided.
• Maintenance of high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the SA Health Vaccine Distribution Centre.

The incumbent:

• Must be prepared to be rotated into the counterpart SA Health Distribution Centre Senior Storeperson, Warehouse Operations role, as required;
• May be required to work out of business hours including on-call capacity after hours, weekends and public holidays;
• Will be required to conduct work within cold room temperatures;
• Will be required to operate various materials handling equipment such as forklift or reach-truck. The incumbent must hold a current license for this equipment or have willingness to acquire the necessary licenses.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

• A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

• Must have a current South Australian motor vehicle driver's license.
