Are you an experienced cleaning professional with leadership skills? AVM is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness of our prestigious venues, ensuring high standards in line with our 5-star facilities.
About Us
Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) proudly operates three of Adelaide’s premier event venues—the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC), and Coopers Stadium (CS) . We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at the Adelaide Convention Centre on a Part-time basis to elevate our cleaning standards to the highest level.
About the Role
As a Cleaning Supervisor (PPT) , you will be responsible for supervising the cleaning team on a shift basis, ensuring that AVM’s venues, including office spaces, maintain an impeccable standard of cleanliness. Your leadership will contribute to a positive and proactive work environment while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate cleaning operations across all internal areas of the ACC.
- Conduct inspections to ensure cleanliness meets high standards.
- Provide leadership, training, and direction to the cleaning team.
- Assist with roster preparation and daily staff briefings.
- Monitor and improve efficiency in cleaning processes.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain proper handling and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Foster a positive team culture through coaching and mentoring.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a cleaning department within a hotel or similar venue.
- Hands-on cleaning experience with knowledge of chemical use.
- Proven experience in staff supervision, roster management, and training.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of budgetary considerations in operational decisions.
- Ability to work a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Relevant leadership training or Certificate IV in Frontline Management (highly desirable).
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
