Business Development Manager (Energy)

The Role In this role you will demonstrate an affinity for earth sciences and the use of Seequent software solutions applied to geoscience data collection, geophysical, geological and geotechnical modelling methods to help make better decisions about the earth. This key role will accelerate the growth of Seequent's Energy business in the Asia Pacific region, focusing on new and under-penetrated markets across the energy sector. The successful candidate will create and drive demand in new customers and markets, translating opportunities into sales.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Contribute to the regional strategy, having direct responsibility for executing the majority of the business development and new business and growth across the region
- Build credibility, business influence, pipeline, and demand for sustained growth
- Identify and validate new markets and business prospects at all levels, including large enterprises and government agencies
- Align with marketing teams to develop direct sales collateral that speaks to the market, industries, and personas
- Working with Seequent's in-house advisors and technical experts to provide technical solutions
To be successful in this role, you should have: - Demonstrable commercial acumen with experience in business development and sales, preferably in the energy or SaaS sectors
- Relevant experience in geoscience, engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated capability with enterprise sales and solution selling
- The ability to build strategic relations and think at strategic, operational, and tactical levels simultaneously
- A passion for building new business and comfort with ambiguity
