Nissen Street Veterinary Surgery is a 5 Veterinarian clinic conveniently located close to Hervey Bay’s medical precinct. Purpose build in 2020 with modern, new equipment and fixtures, on a spacious block with large lawns and heaps of parking Nissen Street Veterinary Surgery has become popular and fast building a great reputation under Dr Candice Loft. We are committed to compassionate & professional pet care, striving to offer an affordable and reliable health care service to our clients and their pets. Our purpose is to provide personalised veterinary care, promoting preventative treatments and building relationships with our clients to ensure the continued well-being of their pets.
Nissen Street Veterinary Surgery is family owned with a strong following which has an established and varied caseload. Located in Hervey Bay, not only is the Heritage Listed, Fraser Island, on our doorstep but Hervey Bay also offers a multitude of experiences for adventure seekers including, Whale Watching, water sports, fishing, diving, 4x4 wheel driving and skydiving. With direct fights to Sydney, Brisbane and Lady Elliot Island, and only 2 hours drive north of the Sunshine Coast and 1.5 hours south of Bundaberg, Hervey Bay is conveniently situated and accessible.
For the more laid back lifestyle, Hervey Bay’s calm beaches, wide variety of shopping and restaurants, affordable house and rental market, accessible health care and schooling, including a university, this rounds out the location as a desirable place to live and play.
About the Role:
We are currently looking for Small Animal Veterinarians to join our awesome team of dedicated and driven Vets and Nurses. This position will report to the Veterinary Director.
Our clinic includes:
- Separate Lab with; IDEXX ProCyte Dx, Catalyst One, SediVue Dx, VetLab UA, Vcheck and the rest of your usual toys
- Digital Xray
- Dental Xray
- IM3 Dental Unit
- MyLabOmega Ultrasound
- Separate vet offices
- Separate dog and cat areas and a dedicated lead lined X-ray room

Successful candidate qualities:
- BVSc or equivalent and able to obtain a QLD Veterinary Surgeon registration.
- Experience prefered but not essential – New Grads are encouraged to apply
- Strong focus on growing the business through collaborative teamwork and building long term client relationships.
- Strong commitment to Gold Standards of care
