Are you an experienced Operations Manager looking for a new challenge in the transport and logistics industry? We are seeking a dynamic, hands on Operations Manager for our North Adelaide depot to oversee the day to day operations of our interstate transport and freight business. You'll be responsible for managing a wide range of operations, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of freight, while leading a dedicated team in a fast-paced and competitive industry.About The Role
As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in managing the day to day operations across our transport, storage, and logistics services. You will work across multiple industries, including automotive, industrial, heavy haulage, oil and gas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage superior service delivery to clients
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight to ensure all collections and deliveries are completed on time
- Lead branch operations, including managing labour and vehicle resources to achieve both local and interstate delivery objectives
- Supervise operations personnel, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures
- Plan, manage, and review fleet repairs and maintenance
- Maintain a safe working environment for all personnel
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Work Health and Safety standards
- Manage operational costs in collaboration with the State Manager
- Oversee site security and the management of property and plant
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven leadership and management experience
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- The ability to effectively liaise with teams across sales, administration, and operations
- Solid computer literacy
- A focus on customer service
- Previous experience in a logistics environment, ideally within the transport industry
