An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Prison Mental Health Clinician to join the Prison Mental Health Services Team at the Maryborough Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- To provide expert clinical and patient-centred care within Prison Mental Health by supporting the facilitation and provision of quality and cost-effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice.
- To provide clinical and case management support & Intake Assessment to individuals experiencing symptoms of or at risk of developing symptoms of a major mental illness, within the Maryborough Correctional Centre.
- Liaison with all relevant clinical and non- clinical stakeholders within the correctional environment as well as non- clinical support workers in the community, coordinating care while taking a holistic approach to recovery and wellbeing with a focus on the transition phase leading to and including release from custody.
Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from date of appointment until 1 st May 2025 with the possibility of extension.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive salary between $3030 - $4453.50 p.f., (HP4) or between $4138.10 - $4431.10 p.f. (Nurse Grade 6 (1)), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) ( Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment until 1 st May 2025 with the possibility of extension . ) (Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy).
