The Service Victoria culture is dynamic and fast-paced, we're not what you'd expect from a government department. We work flexibly and remotely, using our workspace in Footscray. We have a mature digital services platform of contemporary cloud-based infrastructure, technical architecture and scalable and reusable common capabilities, with real-time integration into agency legacy systems. The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government.Service Victoria and DGS are bringing important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the roleLeveraging your extensive experience in Salesforce development, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in architecting solutions that optimise Salesforce functionalities including customisation, integration and automation. Additionally, you will participate in initiatives to continuously improve and optimise our Salesforce platform, staying abreast of Salesforce technologies and best practices.
This is a fixed term contract until end June 2025.
Key accountabilities1 Design and Develop Salesforce solutionsa. Collaborate with Product, Service Delivery Management, Business Analyst and other stakeholders to understand product / solution requirementsb. Design and develop scalable and efficient solutions using Salesforcec. Implement best practices for Salesforce developmentd. Maintain, support and upgrade complex Salesforce software systems2 Testing and Quality Assurancea. Conduct thorough unit testing of developed softwareb. Collaborate with Quality Engineer(s) to ensure the quality of solutions3 Mentoring and coachinga. Mentoring and coaching more junior team membersb. Setting technical standards and approaches for the teamc. Oversee coding standards and ensure adherence by conducting code reviews
Experience and qualifications
Mandatory requirements1. Significant demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the areas of OmniStudio, Platform, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud and/or Public Sector Solutions (PSS)2. Certifications commensurate with your areas of knowledge and expertise3. Experience optimising the SDLC working in an agile delivery environment
