You'll be mostly office based at a cool spot in Southbank. There's flexibility to work from home sometimes but it's probably not going to be regular days every week as this job isn't 'regular'. You'll need to consider yourself office-based.
This is a new role - this is a busy team - there's projects to deliver.
Day to day
Your primary responsibility will be to problem solve in the hydraulics remit . Local codes and standards knowledge is critical (Australian fine) and an ability to get on with people from all walks of life. Take a project end to end, from feasibility to construction. Engineer it, own it.
You will collaborate closely with others in the design team, to ensure seamless integration all components within the overall project and you'll be the client and stakeholder interface.
Take home between $120k - $145k p/a plus Super, based on your experience.
The team
There's a team of about 20 staff here - civil engineers, mechanical and hydraulics engineers and automation engineers. They typically love coming to work together.
Key duties
- High level engineering of hydraulics for building services
- Design Review of construction level hydraulic services documentation
- Working closely with the design and project team to meet program and requirements and achieve integrated outcomes
- Project Management to ensure timely and safe delivery
- Engagement with clients and other stakeholders
- Proficient in working in the design and construction space, with design experience
- Tertiary qualification in an engineering field (mechanical, hydraulics, civil)
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems essential
- Ability or potential for project management
