About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Planner Manager, the Technical Planner will be responsible for managing planned and routine maintenance activities while maintaining accurate asset registers. You will work closely with the Facilities team and key stakeholders to ensure that all maintenance activities meet statutory obligations and performance standards. This role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to build effective relationships across both internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage preventative maintenance schedules in collaboration with Facilities Management (FM) Teams
- Oversee statutory compliance items by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain performance reporting schedules for preventative maintenance activities
- Liaise with FM Teams to manage underperforming contractors and improve service delivery
- Work with Risk and Compliance Managers to ensure statutory obligations are met through compliance platforms
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Proven experience in technical planning or facilities management, ideally within government or compliance-heavy environments
- Strong systems knowledge and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic, fast-paced environments and a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance
