About the role
Reporting to the National Facilities Manager, the Vendor Manager will be responsible for overseeing third-party service providers delivering maintenance services across a large Federal Government property portfolio. You will work closely with internal teams, and Business Services Teams, as well as external stakeholders to ensure service excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong vendor management experience and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with the client, providing strategic advice on vendor performance and industry initiatives.
* Manage vendor performance through regular contract meetings, service reporting, dispute resolution, and annual performance reviews.
* Oversee work order management, including reviewing pricing, authorising payments, and ensuring compliance with rate cards and contractual obligations.
* Ensure compliance with OH&S, environmental, and risk management policies while contributing to incident investigations and reporting.
* Maintain and update property management databases, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Strong management and communication skills with a customer service focus.
* Experience in facilities, security, or property management, with exposure to building services and maintenance.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and property management systems, with excellent data entry and reporting skills.
* The ability to obtain and retain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Baseline Security Clearance.
* A valid driver's licence
