The Role
The Maritime Cross-Platform Systems Program Office (MCPSPO) team, based in Sydney CBD, is seeking a professional, self-motivated individual to join our Sustainment Team and fulfil the role of APS 5 Logistics Officer within the Materiel Logistics Function.
An APS 5 Logistics Officer is accountable under limited direction to:
- Perform and achieve material logistics inventory and asset management work within an integrated workforce.
- The ability to quickly develop a solid understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
- Organise your workflow, make independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility and seek guidance when required.
- Undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews and assessments and perform procedural and clerical support work to achieve results.
- Regularly liaise and coordinate with a broad range of stakeholders, including executives, contractors, APS and ADF members to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
- Provide support that is informed and directed by your knowledge of Materiel Logistics.
You will be an asset to the team, completing tasks consistent to a work plan, whilst providing advice and assistance to other team members. You are an enthusiastic individual. You will manage your workflow and performance and look for opportunities to improve.
About our Team
The MCPSPO within Maritime Systems Division, is the lead agency for delivery of cross-Class sustainment services and advice across the maritime environment. MCPSPO sustains and manages a range of complex military systems and supplies, through an extensive network of industry partners, domestic and off-shore. Our operating environment is complex and challenging, and requires exceptional contract and relationship management and complex contract development skills.
MCPSPO is comprised of three functions, including Commercial, Sustainment and Engineering cells. The teams work in a complex, fast paced environment as part of a diverse and inclusive Branch environment that encompasses a variety of knowledge, skills and experience within a supportive hierarchy. You will be working with talented colleagues, who will provide you with guidance and support to ensure that you have everything you need to succeed.
