Community Solutions are on the hunt for their next Telecommunications Trainee! This 2-year traineeship will be hosted with a national organisation that is a leading provider of electrical, communications & audio-visual services alongside staffing, maintenance, and project services. This opportunity would suit somebody who enjoys technologies, problem solving, working with hand tools and manual labour with a genuine interest to work in the industry. Gain a certificate III in Telecommunications Technology on completion.
Experiences gained throughout this Traineeship are the following:
- MATV Cabling
- Category 5 & 6A Cabling
- Optical Fibre Infrastructure
- Data & Voice Network Infrastructure
- PA (Public Address) System
- Wireless Networks
- Installing and terminating of AV Cabling.
- Assembling and populating of equipment racks.
- Installing of other AV equipment eg. Data Projectors and mounts, Plasma Screens and mounts, Speakers, Motorised and manual projection screens.
- Commissioning and Testing of Control Systems
- Security Systems
- CCTV Systems
- Lay and secure roof sheeting or cladding
- Installation of facias, gutters, downpipes, valley gutters, ridge capping, flashings etc
- Install and maintain metal, fiberglass and associated new material onto roofing structures
- Read & interpret plans and technical drawings
- Customer service
About You:
Our ideal applicant will:
- Hold a valid Queensland Driver Licence
- Hold a white card or willing to obtain
- Completion of year 12
- be confident in passing a police check
- Have high attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be motivated and able to handle a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate an enthusiastic and strong work ethic

Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
