About the RoleThis role will see you assist in organising and delivering therapy programs for our residents, including both group and individual sessions, under the guidance of physiotherapists or occupational therapists. You’ll work closely with clients, families, and a healthcare team to achieve individual goals and improve quality of life. You’ll also handle administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, tracking progress, overseeing activities, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Collaboration with the Allied Health Team Leader and professionals will be key, as well as prioritising the wellbeing and safety of clients by being mindful of your actions and their impact.
About YouThe successful applicant will be proficient in coordinating and delivering tailored allied health therapy programs, both group and individual, while maintaining clients' dignity and empowering them to make informed choices. They will effectively communicate with elderly clients and families, make accurate observations, maintain records, and contribute to reports focused on rehabilitation and independence. A Manual Handling and First Aid Certificate , valid Australian Driver’s Licence , and certification in Allied Health Assistant (OT/Physio) are required. Current students in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's or Master's) are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment with the successful candidate requiring current NDIS worker clearance. In accordance with current health guidelines for the aged care sector, candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.
