About the role:
The Team Manager, School Mental Health will lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team that provide a high quality and culturally responsive service with a focus on universal service level mental health literacy, direct assessment and time limited interventions for students who are showing signs of mental health concerns, or who present with mild to moderate mental health concerns.
The role requires the incumbent to provide effective leadership and operational management of the service including establishing and supporting the delivery direction of agreed KPl's and monitoring of service work standards, team cohesion, allocation of resources, ongoing service evaluation and improvement and managing stakeholder relationships.
The Team Manager, School Mental Health will identify priority needs against available resources and opportunities and ensure the delivery of services within al located resources. The role requires the incumbent to provide strong leadership that supports the provision of integrated and targeted services to meet the needs of children and young people with additional needs.
Student Support Services are on a cultural response journey, as such we value and prioritise Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing and being.
Qualifications:
Essential : An appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline OR relevant experience in service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and/or culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Desirable : Relevant post graduate qualification in management.
Special conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
S121 4 $147,519 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%)
