Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Engineer to provide technical leadership in the planning, design, deployment, and commissioning of EV charging infrastructure . The role will involve working closely with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of EV chargers, vehicles, charge management systems, and power distribution infrastructure .
This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in electrical distribution, control systems, and SCADA-based monitoring , who thrives in problem-solving and stakeholder management. The EV charging domain is evolving rapidly , and fleets are struggling with interoperability challenges your expertise will be crucial in simplifying this transition for customers.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Engineering Support
- Conductelectrical design reviewsand providetechnical recommendationsfor EV charging projects.
- Developconcept designs and cost estimatesfor depot and grid upgrades.
- Act as anOwners Engineerfor clients managing EPC projects for fleet electrification.
- Providevalue engineeringandfit-for-purpose solutionsto optimize charging infrastructure.
- Leadtechnical troubleshootingfor issues related to chargers, vehicles, telematics, and power systems.
- Ensureregulatory compliancewith local electrical codes and industry standards.
- Oversee and coordinateinstallation, commissioning, and testingof EV charging infrastructure.
- Work closely withOEMs, contractors, and system integratorsto ensure smooth deployment.
- SuperviseCharge Management System (CMS) integrationat customer sites.
- Establish strongrelationships with local installers and maintenance providers.
- Serve as thetechnical point of contactfor customers, providing ongoingsupport and guidance.
- Build strongclient relationships, acting as atrusted advisorfor fleet electrification projects.
- Train customer staff onplatformfunctionality and best practices.
- Attend client meetings andensure all stakeholders remain informed on project progress.
- Identifyopportunities to enhance customer solutionsand suggest value-added services.
- Work closely withinternal software and product teamsto align technical solutions with customer needs.
- Providereal-world feedbackto help shape product development anddrive innovation.
- Implementinspection and test plansto ensure quality and reliability.
- Establish feedback loops toenhance internal processes and service offerings.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Multi-disciplinary troubleshooting experienceacrosselectrical, networking, and software domains.
- Proven experience inEngineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projectsin theenergy sector(renewables, power generation, transmission/distribution, or control systems), includingdesign and commissioning experience.
- University degree in Engineering(Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems, Telecommunications, or similar).
- Strong ability tobuild client relationships, provide exceptional customer service, and act as atrusted advisor.
- Hands-on experience withSCADA systems, energy management platforms, or monitoring & troubleshooting software.
- Flexibility and adaptabilityto adjust to evolvingproject scopes, customer needs, and emerging technologies. Ability to accommodateoccasional after-hours support.
- Stakeholder coordinationexperience withOEMs, installers, utilities, and internal teams.
- Background incommercial and contract managementfor infrastructure projects.
- Ability toidentify upsell opportunitiesbased on customer needs and usage patterns.
- Familiarity withlocal and regional electrical regulationsaffecting EV infrastructure.
