Risk Specialist - Regional
We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Public Sector team at Marsh. This role will be based in the Great Southern Region with Perth being your head office.

The primary objective of this role is to provide support & resources to the LGISWA Scheme and all participating Local Government organisations within the region for occupational hazard control and the management of civil liability and property risk exposures.

We will count on you to:

  • Provide day-to-day advisory and coordination services for participating local government organizations, ensuring effective risk management strategies are developed and implemented.

  • Assess the needs of local governments and create tailored strategies and plans to mitigate risks across all classes of protection offered by the LGISWA Scheme.

  • Facilitate workshops and seminars, promoting risk awareness and professional development among local government staff.

  • Monitor and manage risk mitigation strategies, providing written and verbal support to enhance the safety and compliance of participating organizations.

  • Collaborate with LGIS Risk Consultants to deliver technical risk management advice and ensure the successful execution of agreed service plans.

What you need to have:

  • Cert IV or higher WHS qualification.

  • Proven experience in WHS and risk management, particularly within local government or public sector environments.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement whs/risk management strategies and programs.

  • Solid base understanding of Work Health Safety (WHS) WA legislation and civil liability frameworks.

What makes you stand out:

  • Certification in WHS or Risk Management or related professional qualifications.

  • Experience in delivering training or workshops focused on risk management and safety practices.

  • Knowledge of the LGISWA Scheme and its services.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
