About the role
As the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of contract strategies, ensuring operational efficiency, and meeting service level expectations. You will foster a culture of excellence among staff and subcontractors, proactively manage costs, and contribute to the company's profitability and growth. This role demands strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a focus on health, safety, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Contract Management Plans, service levels, and operational plans
- Lead and mentor staff, ensuring performance optimisation and career development
- Monitor and evaluate budgets, operational performance, and service quality standards
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, promoting service excellence and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or trade qualification with at least 10 years of facilities management or maintenance experience
- Proven experience leading complex, multi-site facility management contracts, preferably in local government
- Strong operational management skills within a service industry environment
- Excellent project planning, leadership, and communication skills
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels
