About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager, Freedom of Information (FOI) and Privacy to join the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (LHN). In this pivotal role, you will ensure the organisation meets its legislative obligations for FOI and Privacy, providing expert advice to executives and staff on FOI policies. You will oversee the systems and processes that optimise services, manage internal and external reviews, and ensure compliance through the Freedom of Information Management System (FOIMS). Your expertise will also be essential in coordinating and processing sensitive FOI applications, particularly in political and media contexts.
As a leader, you will manage and guide a dedicated FOI team, fostering a culture of compliance and efficiency. You will be a key point of contact for FOI matters across the organisation, making a significant impact on ensuring transparency, privacy, and compliance within Central Adelaide LHN. About You
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual who meets the following key requirements:
- Qualifications : Completion of the SA State Records FOI course, making you eligible for appointment as an Authorised FOI Officer.
- Skills & Leadership : Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and provide clear advice, both written and verbal.
- Experience : Significant experience in liaising across government departments, providing high-level advice on FOI, privacy, and policy compliance, as well as handling complex problems and negotiations.
- Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of the South Australian Freedom of Information Act 1991, Privacy principles, and related legislation, with awareness of emerging developments in FOI policy.
