Role

We currently have a full-time role available for a Horticultural Apprentice. As a horticultural apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in landscape maintenance while working towards a qualification in horticulture.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns.
• Learn to identify plant species and understand their growth requirements.
• Prepare soil, apply mulch, and install irrigation systems to support plant health.
• Assist with pest / disease management using environmentally responsible methods.
• Operate and maintain horticultural tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Garden maintenance tasks, including mowing, weeding, and fertilising.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and environmental guidelines.
• Participate in on-the-job training and formal learning to develop industry skills.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Interest in plants, gardening, and the outdoor environment.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• No prior experience required – a passion for horticulture is essential

Lux Landscapes Pty Ltd is an established landscaping company providing Design, Construction and Maintenance services to our clients. Our office is based on the Northern Beaches and we have projects throughout greater Sydney.

Salary: $15-30
