ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to a down-to-earth Head of People and Culture, this role will see you join a team of warm and collaborative colleagues within the wider People & Culture function.
As part of the shared services group for NSW & ACT, you’ll play a key role in managing workers compensation claims and return-to-work programs across multiple entities, providing guidance and support to leaders and employees. This is a newly created and hands-on role where you’ll contribute to creating a safety risk management culture.
DUTIES
- Lead workers compensation claims from lodgment to resolution
- Support return-to-work programs, coaching leaders and liaising with insurers and medical professionals
- Provide expert advice on injury management and workplace rehabilitation
- Develop and implement early intervention and wellbeing initiatives
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, insurers, and providers
- Tertiary qualifications in Insurance Claims management or WHS related discipline
- Strong experience in injury management and return-to-work programs
- Knowledge of workers compensation legislation and WHS principles
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
