Position Overview:

MMT Recruitment is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our client’s Allied Health team in South West Sydney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialist therapeutic support to individuals with disabilities, their families, and carers while working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapeutic support in areas such as speech and stuttering, eating, drinking, swallowing, language development, and social interaction skills
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention programs to meet each client’s specific needs and goals
  • Manage issues related to safe eating and drinking, dribbling and drooling, fussy eating, and mealtime management
  • Enhance clients' comprehension and assist them in expressing their thoughts and ideas clearly
  • Utilise Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems to support or substitute verbal communication

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Relevant qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
  • Proven experience in providing therapeutic support in speech, language, and communication
  • Skills in developing mealtime management plans and augmentative communication systems
  • Valid driver’s license, car for work, and ability to obtain a Working with Children Check, Police Clearance, and NDIS Worker Screening Check
