About the Role
This is an on-site role for a Technical Support Engineer located in the Greater Sydney Area.
The Technical Support is responsible for the provision of high quality technical and operational support for our hardware, software and solutions.
Potentially working in association with worldwide Qvest Support and Engineering/Testing Team.
Participating in a global support team covering 24x7x365 operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide remote and on-site level 2 technical support for professional audio/video broadcast system and ICT equipment.
- Maintain and manage hardware and software infrastructure for customers.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Manage relationships with equipment and service vendors.
- Assist in handling hardware repair and replacement tasks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the Help Desk/Ticketing system.
- Be available for after-hours support and on-call duty as needed.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills to meet customer needs.
- Look after customers directly demonstrating good communications and decision making.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives and resources.
- Manage your own time.
- May assist with project or sales tasks when required.
- Any other tasks required by the company and management.
What we are expecting from you
- At least 2 years experience in IT/ICTsupport or relevant field.
- At least 1 year experiences in networking design or support.
- Advanced knowledge on CISCO switch/routers Administration.
- Advanced knowledge on Linux Administration.
- Advanced knowledge on DataMiner Administration.
- Advanced knowledge on Audinate products (Dante Controller and Dante Domain Manager are highly preferred)
- Basic knowledge and hands-on experience on AVID or EVS products are required.
- Digital audio/video flow involvement.
- Fundamental knowledge of CSS, HTML, JavaScript and Storage Systems
- Intermediate understanding of databases including SQL and MongoDB and Infrastructure Virtualisation.
- Hands-on experience with Merging/Directout/Glensound products are desirable.
- Basic Technical Drawing are desirable.
- Ability to participate in the on-call roster.
- Flexibility to undertake after-hours work.
- Ability to work as a sole worker or a team player.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Prioritising tickets between multiple customers.
- Strong communication and writing skills for effective interaction with customers, vendors, and team members.
