ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is a critical role within the Marketing team. In this fast-paced, Sydney-based role, you’ll be supporting the marketing and communications portfolio to implement and execute marketing, communications, fundraising, media and PR activities and strategy for Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT. You will see firsthand the impact of your work in supporting children and young people that are sick, experiencing disadvantage and living with a disability
As a key contributor to the marketing team, you will create a steady stream of compelling content that highlights our impact and the needs of children across NSW and the ACT. This role involves collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to effectively communicate Variety's mission and impact.
The role requires organisation skills, a can-do attitude, attention to detail, resourcefulness, a learning mindset, and hands-on tactical execution. Critical to the role is the ability to work efficiently and collaboratively with colleagues to maximise impact and engagement.
About the role:
- Create and produce marketing collateral including social media content, newsletters, eDMs, presentations, pitch documents and ad-hoc publications that bring Variety NSW/ACT messaging to life in a way that is relevant to each audience. Develop and implement social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram and Linked In.
- Update and maintain the Variety NSW/ACT website.
- Provide key data and metrics to support monthly reporting requirements.
- Assist the marketing team to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide accurate and timely administration and logistics support to the marketing portfolio.
- Coordinate and support the team with the naming, filing and organisation of creative assets including videos, audio, photography and collateral.
- Actively contribute to team cohesion and effectiveness.
Skills and experience required:
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, including a good understanding of the marketing mix.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and proof-reading skills.
- Strong project coordination skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and track work to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience using digital platforms including Wordpress, Canva, Meta Business. Experience with Campaign Monitor, Funraisin, LinkedIn and Asana.
- Related university degree or higher education qualifications desirable.
- At least 1 year experience in a marketing and/or communications role is preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A valid Working with Children Check and criminal record check or be willing to obtain.
- Eligibility to work in Australia on a permanent basis.
- A valid drivers license

- Salary $70,000 - $72,684 per annum
