About the roleAbout the role As a Specialist UI Designer, you will work closely with our UX designers, product owners and developers to design a beautifully crafted and seamless experience across our digital assets. Your ability to craft polished interfaces, communicate and collaborate with our wider teams and sound business acumen will set you up for success in this role.
Your team The CommSec Digital & Customer Experience Chapter Area comprises of UX Designers, UI Designers, Digital Product Managers and Customer Strategy experts. The team is responsible for evolving the digital experiences across the CommSec web and app platforms.
Your core responsibilities On any given week you will:
- Develop and maintain the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Create detailed UI specifications and guidelines for seamless implementation.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, and developers to meet stakeholder needs.
- Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and gather feedback.
- Ensure technical feasibility and integration with software engineers.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits for quality assurance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the design system.
- Apply brand and tone of voice into graphical user interfaces.
- Design human-centred experiences across digital channels.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders to deliver the best user experiences.
What We Are Looking For:
- Highly developed user interface, interaction and visual design skills.
- Experience working with design systems, including governance, maintenance, and documentation.
- Adept with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, and the Adobe Suite.
- Experience in designing for web, iOS and Android applications.
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React, SwiftUI, and Compose a huge plus.
- Curious mindset with a passion for learning new skills in analytics, content, research, and coding.
- Ability to communicate confidently with technical and engineering teams.

Lead the design of product features underpinned by UX and UI Design principles to create desired user-centred experiences
