Role: Receptionist - Specialist Rooms
Location: Sunnybank, Queensland
Type: Casual (2-3 days per week)
Practice Opening Hours: 07:30 - 17:00 Monday - Friday
South East Queensland Surgery is an established specialist general surgery practice based in Sunnybank, and is easily accessible from the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

As we continue to shape our practice to meet the challenges of changing healthcare, we find ourselves searching for an enthusiastic, & compassionate patient-focused receptionist to join our team.
A typical day in general practice would include communicating and interacting with patients, processing and following up patient enquiries and referrals, processing payments, completing administrative paperwork and forms, data entry, and general administration duties.
Expectations for the successful candidate are as follows:

- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to follow procedures but be confident in decision making skills & working autonomously.
- Able to adapt to different personalities & capabilities.
- Flexible to assist with leave coverage & roster changes.
- Surgical practice experience is desirable
- Computer literate
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments efficiently
- Assist patients with filling out forms and updating their information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow

Skills & Experience:
- Capacity to multitask, prioritise and good time management
- Must be proactive with a positive attitude
- Professional presentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Prior surgical practice experience is advantageous
- Computer literacy essential
- Use and knowledge of PMS is essential (Genie experience is highly valued)

Remuneration: $24.87 - $37.66 per hour.
