About the Role

As a valued member of our Heritage and Risk Support, the Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for end to end support and management of Indue developed applications as well as COTS solutions Indue provides to clients in the banking and payments industry. This role works primarily within our Linux environment completing tasks such as:

  • Working within Redhat and Solaris systems;
  • Working within Windows Server systems;
  • Provide 2nd level support on systems - both in-house developed and vendor supplied;
  • Network troubleshooting

Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Resolving service requests raised by 1st line support where possible or escalating if required.
  • Responding to system alerts – analysing & resolving or escalating as required to restore service within SLA boundaries.
  • Taking ownership of incidents and work with teams to drive a successful resolution.
  • Contributing to problem management to solve long running problems and continuous improvement such as documentation review, process review, uplifts, etc.
  • Providing application-level support during system upgrades, maintenance and incidents.
  • Generating reports as required for internal and external stakeholder needs.
  • Participating in compliance tasks such as DR testing, audits and attestations.

This position also includes an on-call engagement in a rotating roster as well as a requirement to perform out of hours work from time to time.

About You

You will have all or majority of the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in Linux / Unix systems
  • Basic experience in Windows systems
  • Experience in scripting or programming such as Bash, Shell, Python, Perl or Ruby.
  • Professional level experience supporting complex technical systems
  • Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in working independently and within a team environment to deliver outcomes
  • Experience in development of written technical documentation.

​​​​​​​The following experience is highly desirable

  • Experience in a financial services technical environment
  • Experience with GitLab or Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Puppet or Ansible
  • Exposure to PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 and ITIL.
