ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality maintenance solutions and outstanding results. Key Responsibilities:- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
- Maintain, repair, and service a variety of mobile plant equipment in line with Thiess and industry standards.
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and conduct preventative maintenance.
- Complete documentation and reporting to a high standard.
- Uphold excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the maintenance team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to risk management and safe work practices.
- A Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification.
- Post-trade experience in the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
- Hands-on experience with general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
- A current driver’s licence (Standard 11 certification is desirable).
- A proactive attitude toward safety and a commitment to fostering a positive safety culture.
- Flexible Rosters: Even-time rosters (7/7) with 12.0-hour or 12.5-hour day and night shifts.
