The Opportunity
Become a part of our dynamic Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland. We're seeking Aviation Maintenance professionals to support the prestigious C-17A Globemaster Program.
This role involves specialized repair and overhaul of C-17 Aircraft Wheel and Tyre assemblies, along with general maintenance, servicing, modification, and troubleshooting responsibilities on aircraft engines and other C-17A specific roll-on equipment. This will be in support of the Royal Australian Airforce.

Essential Experience / Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulations.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen to be able to possess an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
Desirable Experience / Qualifications
- Previous experience as a maintenance certifier / trade supervisor.
- Prior experience or understanding of Back Shop processes and procedures.
- Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
- Have a working knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems.
- Hold a C class driver's license.
Security Clearance
You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a government security clearance (Negative Vetting One) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
